Third City Christian Church in Grand Island will host The Heartland Celebration of Freedom Celebrating 250 Years on Saturday, June 27, 2026, beginning at 5:00 pm. This is a Free event to honor first responders and military families. Free gifts will be given to all first responders and military families with a special Freedom Award being presented to local hero. Enjoy family-friendly activities and a lineup of food trucks with food available for purchase. The night concludes with fireworks around 10:00 PM.

On Sunday at 10:15 AM, a special outdoor worship service will be held; please bring your own lawn chair.
