A Christmas Makeover

Cyndi in Gothenburg was at her breaking point.

A single mom of three, she couldn’t afford Christmas, and just weeks before, her basement had flooded.

“I remember riding around Gothenburg, looking at the lights, looking at the beautiful trees in people’s window. I’m like, I can’t even afford a Christmas tree. All my stuff got flooded in our basement. And I cried. I told the boys, we can’t have Christmas this year.”

That year, MyBridge launched a project to bless families in need at Christmas, and Cyndi’s family was chosen.

“MyBridge Radio called and goes, you have been selected for a Christmas makeover. They sent us to a movie. And we got home. There were presents under the tree, a new washer and dryer. The day MyBridge Radio called me changed my life!”

MyBridge mobilized the listening family to surround Cyndi’s family with generosity. But for Cyndi, the impact went far beyond the gifts.

“That was the first time the kids actually could see Jesus. I will never forget that call. So thank you, MyBridge Radio, and keep doing stuff like that because it matters.”
