First Free Church in Lincoln will host a conference called “Rethinking Sexuality” on July 29, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

About the Rethinking Sexuality event:

Rethinking Sexuality with Clinical Psychologist Dr. Juli Slattery. Juli is an author, speaker and president/co-founder of a ministry called Authentic Intimacy. This event comes from her book called “Rethinking Sexuality: God’s design and why it matters.” This is a one day conference from 9am to 4pm focused on equipping Christians to talk about sexuality in a way that honors God. Dr Juli Slattery addresses the Church’s need to reclaim “sexual discipleship” from popular culture.

Juli will be talking about the big picture of sexuality as it applies to all areas of sexuality. Everyone is welcome, single, married, divorced. The purpose of the conference is to approach sexual issues with the bigger picture of what God says about our sexuality, how Christians are called to live with sexual integrity, and how to love others well while holding to Christian convictions around sexuality. Juli’s emphasis is not on a culture war, but on the journey of discipleship related to our sexuality.

The last hour of the conference will be questions and answers. No question will be off limits.
