Recently, the Nicaraguan government decided to fund a new hospital in a poor area of the country. Out of the five states that applied, the state where Panali is located was chosen, and then after much lobbying by the local community leadership, the regional government chose PANALI to be the host site for the hospital. Praise God!!
This new hospital will be full scale with surgeries and specialists. It will also mean that the bumpy dirt road to Panali will be paved and many new jobs and opportunities will be created. The regional government sees what is happening as a result of the Food for the Hungry/My Bridge partnership in Panali. With recent improvements in education, sanitation, and leadership, Panali became a natural choice for the new hospital. Our recent mission team was there when the ground was purchased for the new hospital, and it was so clear that it is God’s hand of blessing on this town!
