A My Bridge mission team spent the past week in Panali helping locals demolish the old warehouse that had served as the preschool in Panali. As the tin roof and cement walls quickly came down, one community leader joked that it was like witnessing a hurricane.
Over the course of three days, 118 concrete panels that weighed over 20,000 pounds were torn down and re-purposed! Over the next few months, local skilled laborers will build up from the now bare foundation to create a beautiful new preschool. The local families are excited about this addition to the community. In a high poverty area like Panali, early childhood education brings great hope for the next generation.
