Are the Gospels Historically Reliable? – Lincoln

August 27, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

A lecture by Dr. Michael Licona. At the First Free Church – 3280 S 84th St., Lincoln Nebraska. Sponsored by Ratio Christi, a new campus ministry focused on apologetics. For more info, please contact Adam Lloyd Johnson at 803-415-1998 or AdamJohnson@RatioChristi.org

Dr. Michael Licona, professor at Houston Baptist University, specializes in the historical evidence for Jesus’ resurrection. His recent book is “Why Are There Differences in the Gospels?” (Oxford University Press) Professor Dale C. Allison, Jr. (Princeton Theological Seminary) writes “Criticism often progresses through comparison, as it does in this significant volume. Licona’s experiment of exploring differences between the synoptics in the light of differences within Plutarchis is suggestive in multiple respects, and students of the gospels will come away with much to ponder.”
